Asada Style Meats

Note: Cooking instructions are meant as guidelines only. Cook to recommended internal temperature guidelines and adjust cooking times if necessary for size and weight of products as appliances will vary. You may not achieve desired results due to these variables, therefore, while care has been taken to provide accurate cooking guidelines users are advised to use their discretion.

  1. Preheat gas grill to high heat.
  2. Remove Bill Bailey’s Carne Asada from package and place on preheated grill.
  3. Cook approximately 8 minutes, turning every 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Cook to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F as measured with a food thermometer.
  5. Remove from grill and place on cutting board, cover loosely with foil and allow the Carne Asada to rest for a minimum of 3 minutes.
  6. Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.

  1. Prepare grill and charcoal briquettes for medium-high heat (approximately 25-30 minutes)
  2. Remove Bill Bailey’s Carne Asada from package and place on prepared grill.
  3. Cook approximately 8 minutes, turning every 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Cook to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F as measured with a food thermometer.
  5. Remove from grill and place on cutting board, cover loosely with foil and allow the Carne Asada to rest for a minimum of 3 minutes.
  6. Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.

Slow Cooker

  1. Remove Bill Bailey’s Carne Asada from package, lay in the bottom of slow cooker.
  2. Add water or other liquid* to just cover meat.
  3. Place lid on slow cooker and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, or on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  4. Remove from slow cooker, place on cutting board, cover loosely with foil and allow the Carne Asada to rest for a minimum of 3 minutes.
  5. Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.

* Other liquid: use broth or marinade mixture of ¼ cup lime juice, 8 cloves crushed garlic, ½ cup orange juice, 1/2 cup fresh minced cilantro, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper, ½ cup olive oil, 1 minced jalapeño, and 6 tablespoons red wine vinegar.

  1. Preheat skillet on medium-high heat.
  2. Remove Bill Bailey’s Carne Asada from package, slice into manageable pieces to fit skillet.
  3. Cook approximately 8 minutes, turning every 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Cook to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F as measured with a food thermometer.
  5. Remove from skillet and place on cutting board, cover loosely with foil and allow the Carne Asada to rest for a minimum of 3 minutes.
  6. Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.

Instant Pot

  1. Remove Bill Bailey’s Carne Asada from package, lay in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  2. Add water or other liquid* to just cover meat.
  3. Close and lock lid. Select “Pressure Cook” or “Manual.” Use + or – button to set timer. Cook on high pressure level for 15 minutes per pound of meat.
  4. When timed cooking is completed, open the pressure cooker using the “Quick Release” (see instructions for your Instant Pot brand).
  5. Remove from Instant Pot, place on a cutting board, cover loosely with foil and let the Carne Asada rest for a minimum of 3 minutes.
  6. Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.

Optional:  Filter the cooking liquid through a fine sieve, add a pat of butter, stir and drizzle over the meat.

  1. Remove Bill Bailey’s Carne Asada from package.
  2. Set Air Fryer to 400°F. Place Carne Asada in the air fryer basket. (Depending upon size of basket, may need to do two batches.)
  3. Cook for 8 minutes, or until the meat has reached an internal temperature of 145°F. Do not overcook, as meat will become tough.
  4. Remove from air fryer basket, place on a cutting board, cover loosely with foil and let the Carne Asada rest for a minimum of 3 minutes.
  5. Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.

General Guidelines

  • Cook with a calibrated food thermometer to accurately measure the internal temperature of meats.
  • Cooking safely to medium doneness requires the meat to reach an internal temperature of 145°F and hold for at least 3 minutes.
  • Internal Temperature for other levels of doneness: Rare: 120-125°F; Medium Rare: 130-135°F; Medium Well: 150-155°F; Well Done: 160°F
  • Appliances will vary; adjust cooking times as necessary.
